Noun is a naming word that refers to feelings and qualities such as people, places, things and abstract ideas, e.g., King, Akbar, Kolkata, Taj Mahal, Book, etc.
उदाहरण:
मेहताब एक उत्कृष्ट छात्र है। संज्ञा मेहताब एक विशेष छात्र को संदर्भित करता है, लेकिन संज्ञा छात्र किसी अन्य छात्र के साथ-साथ मेहताब पर भी लागू किया जा सकता है। इसलिए, हम मेहताब को एक उचित संज्ञा, और छात्रों को सामान्य संज्ञा कहते हैं।

1. Proper Nouns – (व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञाएं)

एक Proper Noun किसी विशेष व्यक्ति, स्थान, जानवर या वस्तु का नाम है। (उचित का अर्थ है अपना नाम)

एक Common Noun एक ही वर्ग या प्रकार के प्रत्येक व्यक्ति या वस्तु को समान रूप से दिया जाने वाला नाम है। (सामान्य साधन सभी द्वारा साझा किया जाता है)
Common Noun Definition in English:
A general common noun is a common name given to every person or thing of the same class or type. (Common means shared by all)
उदाहरण:
मेज, समुद्र, गाँव, शहर, कुत्ता, गाय, नदी, लड़का, लड़की, घोड़ा, किताब, आदमी, औरत, कलम, पेंसिल आदि।
Examples:
Table, sea, village, town, dog, cow, river, boy, girl, horse, book, man, woman, pen, pencil, etc.

Collective Noun Definition in English:
Collective noun is the name of a group or collection of persons or things or animals which is taken as a whole.
उदाहरण:
संसद, जनता, दल, सेना, संघ वर्ग, परिवार, समिति, श्रोतागण, बहुमत आदि।
Examples:
Parliament, public, team, army, union class, family, committee, audience, majority, etc.
